Things to do pre/post cruise without car?

Our cruise leaves on 2/23/08, we will arrive 5AM on 2/21 from L.A. Hopefully rested (haha) and staying at La Quinta Airport. So we will have Thursday and Friday........what can we do??

 

Also, couple with us will stay post cruise at same hotel from 3/2 (cruise returns) and depart am 3/4........

 

what can they do.

 

Happy to take bus?

 

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

cabs are fairly cheap. go to the water taxi area.
