Recommendations for Dinner in Vienna

Betty/Avie

Recommended Posts

We're on the October 27 Viking cruise from Vienna to Amsterdam, and we're spending an extra day or so in Vienna prior to the trip. We need recommendations for dinners! We welcome your help. Probably, we would like to have at least 1 dinner that is typical of the area.

We just returened from this cruise and spent a week in Vienna. We really enjoyed Giechenbeisl in the inner city. We ate there twice. It was built in 1447 and has a room with autographs of famous people all over the walls--Motzart, Beethoven, Schubert, Strauss, etc. The food is very good and traditional.
