Len3 Posted September 26, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2007 We're leaving from Washington, D.C. to catch the October 6th sailing of the Navigator of the Seas. What can we expect the weather to bring and what should we pack? This is our first trip to the Canaries. Do we need "formal" clothes, etc. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Hi, we are on the October 16th sailing. From friends who have done this cruise before, we hear that it's warm (high 70's) in the canary islands. Vigo in northern Spain will probably be in the 50's as well as London and Southhampton. There are two formal nights on the 10 day cruise. If any of your tours include churches (if you are going to Santiago de Compostela the Cathedral is awesome) shorts are probably not allowed, but then again it will be cool there. I'm sure the same goes for churches in the Canaries. Hope this helps:)
zeitgeist Posted October 8, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2007 Yes, the Canaries are always warm and nice. Only if you drive up the Teide on Tenerife, you may need a sweater. The Canaries are tourist places - everybody wears VERY casual clothes.
