tinykygal Posted September 26, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2007 Have any of your critics been there and taken a tour from the ship port? We will be on the Dawn in Oct and things are starting to shut down or slow down. Comments, suggestions? Thank you!
sinfonian87 Posted September 27, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2007 We were there on the Dawn on 9/21. We rented a car from Budget (reserve with the office in Sydney, not the airport location) and called upon leaving the ship from the Visitor Info Center inside the terminal and Budget picked us up and took us to their office (would have been a very long walk). We drove to Baddeck and then did part of the Cabot Trail before returning to Sydney and Budget returned us to the Pier. Great customer service and a very fun and easy drive. The scenery was unbelievable and the leaves were just barely starting to change, so in October it should be gorgeous. There were signs all over for the month long Celtic Colours Celebration in October, so there should be still lots going on. Hope this helps. c breeze Posted October 1, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 1, 2007 We took the "Heart of the Island" tour a few weeks ago. It was very nice, but I might look for a different way to see the scenery next time. Most of the time was spent at a historical settlement.
