gliles Posted September 6, 2004 #28 Share Posted September 6, 2004 Does this mean a six pack for $18.00??? Sadly, I believe so...unless of course you want the imports, then it's $19!
gliles Posted September 6, 2004 #29 Share Posted September 6, 2004 I used to order from wellwishers.com and they would deliver gift wrapped beer to the cabin! But the last time I contacted them, the price had gone up quite a bit. Still I am sure it wasn't $18 - $19 a six pack!
swom Posted September 6, 2004 Author #30 Share Posted September 6, 2004 Sadly, I believe so...unless of course you want the imports, then it's $19! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I'll bring my own then. LOL Thanks!
gliles Posted September 6, 2004 #31 Share Posted September 6, 2004 No problem, what kind of beer do you like? Just curious.
superstein61 Posted September 7, 2004 #32 Share Posted September 7, 2004 Thanks for all the input on this. Even the not so nice ones.................They don't have the beer on board that we like, so we like to take our own brand in a suitcase. It's our "goody" suitcase. After the beer is gone, we use the suitcase to bring home all of our treasures that we've bought on the cruise...........This is the only reason I was asking about alcohol. It is our vacation and we want to enjoy it. I wouldn't mind at all buying beer on ship if they carried our kind....... Again, thanks to all, and I do mean everyone for their opinions and input. I pray anyone going on a cruise this coming week will be safe and most importantly that Florida will survive this latest hurricane. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone living there............. vawoods - I know what you mean. I wouldn't cruise without carrying my favorite rum and trusty blender aboard. plus several 6 packs of Mountain Dew for when I just want a soft drink. Just have any beer / liquor in your checked luggage and you will be fine. Softdrinks can be carried on in your carryons. Enjoy
elmorejj Posted September 7, 2004 #33 Share Posted September 7, 2004 Gretchen, there is another list apart from the "packages" with mixers. It is strictly just liter bottles, if you need a price let me know.....jean
gliles Posted September 7, 2004 #34 Share Posted September 7, 2004 I think I have that too but it doesn't spefically mention that it is available from room service. A bottle of Gin for instance, is only $3 less w/o the 3 cans of tonic.
michmike Posted September 7, 2004 #35 Share Posted September 7, 2004 we generally bring a bottle or two that we wrap in bubble wrap and then put each in a large ziploc bag before packing it in our luggage. Have never had any problems. We keep it in the closet when not in the room. Doubt that the cabin steward would rat on you but no point in making an issue of flaunting the rules. We use it only for in room consumption and still patronize the bars on a nighly basis. Plan to do this again on our November cruise.
Lisa63 Posted September 7, 2004 #36 Share Posted September 7, 2004 Thank you, Gretchen! I've emailed the price list to a friend who will be sailing soon and who had asked me to get the prices from the room service menu. Much appreciated. :)
CLapple Posted September 7, 2004 #37 Share Posted September 7, 2004 The liquor prices aren`t on the regular room service menu. You can call HAL and they will email you the list or you can just call room service and they will deliver a bottle of your choice. I have the complete list if you want to know a price.....jean  I'm trying to remember, for sure, since I don't usually do the drink in cabin thing; but isn't there a per bottle price list in the bar drink books?
