Is there ashopping area where ncl/dawn docks or any places of interest where it docks

Wasn't sure if we were going to do a tour in St Kitts. Is there anything close by within a very short walking distanace from where the ship docks? Are ther any local places of interest where it docks? Just trying to see what is available to do near the ship if we decide not to do a shore excursion.

Does anyone know, when you get off the ship, are there locals there waiting to do a short tour of the islan? Usually they cost between 15.00 $25.00pp. We've done that before in curacao. It was actually kind of nice. As soon as we walked off the ship, there were several locals asking us if we would like to take a tour with them and we did and it only cost $15.00pp and I must say, it was one of the best tours we've ever done. HAs anyone seen anything like that in St kitts?
