Caliber1 Posted October 2, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2007 DW was wondering what kind of Martinis were served at the martini bar on board the Liberty. She had some kind of chocolate thing here last week and loved it.
halos Posted October 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 2, 2007 LOL Jess...this isn't gonna go anyplace but I'll try. Don't know about the Liberty, but because the Miracle didn't have a designated martini bar, one night, they set up something in the lobby. It was a huge ice sculpture...they ran the booze THROUGH the ice sculpture and it landed in a martini glass all nice and cold!!. Not shaken OR stirred....kinda 'flumed' it like a waterslide!! WAY COOL!!:D
bsdmhutch Posted October 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 2, 2007 Jess, you oughta tag Allen for this one. He's the martini expert and I KNOW he had to have found the martini bar on the Conquest last October.
Caliber1 Posted October 2, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted October 2, 2007 The BT at the local establishment made a Martini with chocolate drizzled in the glass, with a cherry stuck in the bottom, and made withe vodka and something else, just wondering if anyone has seen this on Carnival. L2J Posted October 2, 2007 #5 Share Posted October 2, 2007 As Homer would say "MMMMMM.....Martinis" :D Lemon...apple...and old faithful....Gin....YUM. How about a Martini Card? :D
AllyCat81 Posted October 2, 2007 #6 Share Posted October 2, 2007 I didn't see a martini bar on the Liberty, but like Halo said, they had set up a huge display by the casino bar on the second formal night with all different flavor martinis. I didn't notice a chocolate one, but I'm sure they have it. They had a decent selection ;)
Thirsty Cruiser Posted October 2, 2007 #7 Share Posted October 2, 2007 Based on this photo of the Liberty martini bar, I would say you have tons of options. They had one of those ice block things on Miracle and I had an excellent vodka martini.

Not sure I have ever had gin. Martini card??? Hmmm... LOL...Gin has a tad more punch IMO. I don't prefer one over the other, although I don't think I'd like a flavored martooni made with gin... $35 for a 7 day...sounds like a plan to me. happy cruzin Posted October 2, 2007 #12 Share Posted October 2, 2007 Sometimes - depending on the ship - the wine bar also doubles as the martini bar. FYI......I also got some great martini's in the cigar bar - before our dinner seating - on the Legend.
NCTribeFan Posted October 2, 2007 #13 Share Posted October 2, 2007 Well, a "real" martini is made with gin. :p Those other, flavored drinks aren't really martinis. But they sure are tasty! :D

Hell I'd spend triple that for the week and be happy. ;) On X, the freaking martinis were $11/$12 a pop...FTLOG! The Infinity had a very nice martini bar. The selections were amazing Jess...not only did they have chocolate martinis they had CREME BRUELE (sp??) Martinis... Holy crap were they good!:D Don't like gin, myself...so they martini's I drink aren't really martinis...at least to someone who drinks the basic gin ones. NCTribeFan Posted October 2, 2007 #19 Share Posted October 2, 2007 Creme brulee? Oh my! I can't even imagine how yummy that would be! I don't drink martinis. Not often, anyway. Now that I'm an oldster (according to DD), I'm pretty much a lightweight when it comes to drinking. I stick to beer and wine with the occasional rum punch on the cruise. Creme brulee? Wow. I could get SO wasted!
halos Posted October 2, 2007 #20 Share Posted October 2, 2007 Creme brulee? Wow. I could get SO wasted! one made my lips numb...two and I had trouble getting up from the chair without wobbling. Man :D I can't wait to get on that cruise ship next month. I wonder if NCL Spirit has a martini bar??? Gotta go look...... nope, just a champagne bar...well, I hope the martinis are good dangit!
