BrooklinNorth Posted October 3, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2007 I'm booked thru a local TA, on 11/11/07 AOS, E1 paid $1019.00 cdn.... I was just on the RCCL site and they had the JS on a sale for $1019... I called RCCL reservations they were understanding and thought that changing /upgrading should not be problem. Then he looked at our reservation, and couldn't help me as our Booking was via our TA. He transfrd me to another area because we booked thru Air Canada Vacations, and they really wouldn't even talk to me. I put the JS on the courtesy hold, via the web until I can reach the TA tomorrow to ask about changing. I know I'm passed the 70 days, but do I stand a chance????? Please I need your advice.. Lori
wrp96 Posted October 3, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 3, 2007 It depends on your TA. A good TA will give you the upgrade.
Jeka Posted October 3, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 3, 2007 It depends on your TA. A good TA will give you the upgrade. The travel agent will give the upgrade????? Doesn't the TA call RCI, and RCI gives the upgrade?
crcossel Posted October 3, 2007 #4 Share Posted October 3, 2007 I thought tuesday sales were for new bookings only.
TAXLADY070 Posted October 3, 2007 #5 Share Posted October 3, 2007 Just had that happen on our EOS to Bermuda. JS went on a Tuesday sale. called the TA and she got the new rate for us. RCI said it applied to new bookings but our TA sited our cruise history and they credited our credit card the next day. Always worth a try but go through your TA. willysgrandma Posted October 3, 2007 #6 Share Posted October 3, 2007 Your TA should be able to get it for you IF it wasn't for new bookings only. The TA can only do what RCCL allows them to, so if the special was new bookings, you won't be able to get it. A good TA will do what they can to accomodate you as long as RCCL allows it. BrooklinNorth Posted October 3, 2007 Author #7 Share Posted October 3, 2007 They allowed the upgrade, from what I understand it's a bit differnt here in Canada. My travel agent represents me, she contacts Air Canada Vacations who in turn actually deals and contracts with the cruiselines and air carrier, which is Air Canada. The TA said this morning that she thought it was unlikey that Air Canada Vacations would allow the change, but she'd try. Anyway, they allowed it , I got my JR Suite (guarantee) :D :D I saw it on my reservation , so it's real. TA cannot believe it, and when I booked originally in May Air Canada Vac. had airfare on sale, Toronto - San Juan for $100 round trip (+ taxes) and I got that too. I'm hitting the casino on this trip FOR SURE ! :p Thanks all for your input . Happy Lori

Apoggi Posted October 3, 2007 #9 Share Posted October 3, 2007 Wow that is great. I can't believe you got a JS for the same price as an E2 and the airfare deal is fantastic. We live in Maryland and our airfare is over $400. I agree run, do not walk to the casino as soon as you can. Ann
