Holiday Inn Honalulu

[lowdown]

We are staying at the Holiday Inn Honalulu pre cruise Nov 5 POH (free stay Priority club) How close is it to Diamond Head,Waikiki beach, cheap pre cruise eats? We hope to walk the beach to Diamond Head and climb it and eat along the way from our Hotel if is possible.

The Holiday Inn (1830 Ala Moana Blvd) is on the west end of Waikiki closer to Hilton Hawaiian Village end. Diamond Head is about 3 miles away. You are a little further away from the "action" but everything in Waikiki is easily accessible by "The Bus".

 

Eats

Wailana Coffee House is near your hotel (1860 Ala Moana Blvd) open 24 hours. Great breakfast, great prices.

You're not far from Eggs N Things at 1911-B Kalakaua Ave.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn for 4 days post cruise. It's across the street from Waikiki Beach- we walked to the Hilton Hawaiian Village every day to use the beach. It was about a 5-10 minute walk, and at the time I was 5.5 months pregnant, and it wasn't a big deal at all.

 

There's a Subway and a McDonald's around the corner, although not technically on the way to the beach. There are two close ABC stores if you want to grab a snack to bring with you. Also, you could always go for Round Table Pizza at the Hilton on your way over.
