Restaurant for a Gourmet Lunch

Recommended Posts

We would like to have lunch at a really good restaurant near to the ship. The quality and taste of the food is more important than ambeance. My husband is handicapped and will be in a wheel chair, so a short walk from Pier or a cab ride from pier would be the best bet. I will check with the restaurants suggested as to which ones are handicapped accessible. Thank you.

You are very welcome Rev! I would go with Le Dome. Second choice would be TDS. A little further to get to, but you would be able to see a little more rugged part of the island as well as the lighthouse. Thinking about it though you can just go up to Jupiter to see one of those. :D ;) And yours is probably prettier! ;)

Thanks Lisa,

Both John and I have visited Aruba before, we were there for a week a few years back, had cocktails with the goats up at the light house and really enjoyed seeing Charlies bar with all the licence plates. I was leaning toward Matide, any reason why you didn't suggest that one in your last two posts?

My personal preference on Le Dome is the menu. Haven't been to Matilde since they under went their "transormation" from Chez Matilde, but their new menu really does not appeal to me...see which you like the best. I really don't think you could go wrong with either. You can also compare the reviews of individual's dining experiences at http://www.restaurantsaruba.com/view_review.html?REST_ID=39 and http://www.restaurantsaruba.com/view_review.html?REST_ID=124

Hi Rev, saw the article below and thought of you:

Arts & Culture Update: September 2007

Aruba - Netherlands Antilles

"Jazz at Divi Links Aruba" is the title of the new cd by Ivan Jansen Quartet, which was launched during the introduction of the lunch menu at Windows on ...

Here is a copy of their dinner menu. I do not have a copy of their lunch menu, but this at least gives you an idea of what they offer and it is very expensive so imagine their lunch would be also.
