alcohol on board

Hi, I am sure this has been asked before, but I cant find a post.

I usually go on RCCL cruises and found they no longer allow you to buy a bottle of alcohol from duty free, pay the extra and be able to bring it back to your room.

Does Carnival still allow this? I am refering to say a bottle of rum or vodka and not just beer or wine.

thanks

If you buy liquor on board, they "hold it" until the night before debarkation. You can either "smuggle" liquor...or buy it prior to boarding. You have to call Carnival's Bon Voyage department [there is no website] to buy things like rum/vodka

I ordered champagne and Vodka from the Bon Voyage Dept., and it was delivered to my cabin. They do not list all of the various liquor that is available on the website, so I ordered through the 1-800 number.

There was a duty free shop on board but I'm not sure if items were available for "carry-out" :), or if they were held until the end of the cruise!
