caribbean dreams Posted October 9, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2007 No more extras until your 10th Carnival cruise.
PINEVIEW01 Posted October 9, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2007 On board what caribbean dreams said except a gold card instead of a red, white and blue:cool: You do get the past guest discounts. You might what to check as most sailing seem to have them now. There are also past guest reunion cruises but I never have found one that works for me YET:)
Rare English Tim Posted October 9, 2007 #4 Share Posted October 9, 2007 I am one cruise below platinum on 'Princess' and was tempted to take a further Princess cruise, to achieve such status, but Carnival Freedom's itinerary and price was so competitive that we have returned to Carnival for next summer, so we too will have the 'gold' card. I wonder whether the lines within the Carnival group, might merge passenger benefits sometime soon. That would be good.
AllyCat81 Posted October 9, 2007 #5 Share Posted October 9, 2007 This isn't through Carnival per say, but if you go to the Ocean players club website (I can't post the link... I'm at work and the site is blocked. Damn the man!) there's an option where you fill out all your information and they will deliver chocolate covered strawberries and a $15 photo coupon to your room. I did this for our Liberty cruise and it worked! I think the link is called "Sailing again" or something to that effect. I wish I could get on the site so I could tell you exactly what it says. :( But either way, it was a nice little free perk for sailing with Carnival again! ninetyfeet Posted October 10, 2007 #6 Share Posted October 10, 2007 Thanks for the ocean club suggestion - I just went in and entered my info. Didn't say anything about what they would give me but it was worth the 15 second hassle :o) For anyone interested, try this link: http://www.oceanplayersclub.com/ContactUs.aspx?CatID=

LADYBUG34113 Posted October 10, 2007 #8 Share Posted October 10, 2007 I just went out there and signed up under "cruising again". It asks for your booking number and room number:D
Rare English Tim Posted October 11, 2007 #9 Share Posted October 11, 2007 I tried it and it wouldn't accept my dob 09/30/55. Is that how it would be typed in the USA?
LuvSand&Sun Posted October 11, 2007 #10 Share Posted October 11, 2007 Thanks for the website!! Well worth the quick signup!! I tried and seems to have worked. They did accept all of my info. They do want a 4 number year 2007 rather than 07. I will have to let you know if I get something special on my upcoming cruise!!
bchbum641 Posted October 11, 2007 #11 Share Posted October 11, 2007 We got a pin after our 5th cruise- WHOO--ha. They do have a past puest party with free drinks- That's always fun.

alphakitty Posted October 11, 2007 #13 Share Posted October 11, 2007 I tried it and it wouldn't accept my dob 09/30/55. Is that how it would be typed in the USA? Try making the year 4 digits - 1955. Since 2000 most sites use a 4 digit format for the year. :)
runcassrun_07 Posted October 11, 2007 #14 Share Posted October 11, 2007 I also tried the link NINETYFEET sent for past cruising or etc. and it would'nt work for me either. Anybody have ideas what problems caused it? I put in dates and ect. correctly hit SUBMIT and nothing happened.
poodlemom396 Posted October 11, 2007 #15 Share Posted October 11, 2007 Just a personal opinion but when I have a problem or question I think I get extra consideration when I pull out my gold card. I have been asked for my card for services many times and had the server or store clerk say "we are happy to have you back" I wanted to change dinner times last cruiseand the Head Waiter also say we will give you a special table since you are a repeat cruiser. It asks for date of next cruise and dob in mm/dd/yy I enter 08/14/08 for 14 August 2008 and 09/30/55 for 30 September 1955 It keeps asking for correct format. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:mad:
wormfarmer Posted October 11, 2007 #17 Share Posted October 11, 2007 Trust me this does not always work. Out of 8 cruises in the past year only 5 did this for me. The other 3 there was nothing in my stateroom...

I'm not sure I remember the BOOKing # from my past cruise...is it on my card? *I still have it somewhere*
alphakitty Posted October 11, 2007 #19 Share Posted October 11, 2007 I did it earlier today...worked fine. I did fill out every field they asked for and used 9 0's in the Membership # field. Could that have made the difference? I got an email confirmation.
JeanG Posted October 11, 2007 #20 Share Posted October 11, 2007 We got a pin after our 5th cruise- WHOO--ha. They do have a past puest party with free drinks- That's always fun. Hey Shauna & Sean, We were on your Magica cruise with you. How have you guys been? I see you went on the Spirit in Jan, how was that? We always stick to the Florida ports so we can drive. We've done a few more cruises since that Magica one. We were trying to get a lot in while Bill was feeling well. Unfortunately he passed away at the beginning of June after a courageous fight with his cancer. Crusining was the favorite vacation for him and he will always be cruising with me. We're glad to hear your sailing again! We have placed you on our OPC guest list for your upcoming sailing. Hope you have a great cruise, and the best of luck while spending time in the Casino! suseg Posted October 11, 2007 #22 Share Posted October 11, 2007 I was pretty surprised on our last cruise, besides the cocktail party and ship's pin we received a VERY nice tote bag (I haven't seen it for sale anywhere) filled with the following Carnival gear: A belly bag 2 T-shirts which have 07 cruise. enjoy. repeat. imprinted on them 2 very nice key rings a deck of cards a visor a baseball cap two insulated sippers two (of the inexpensive) beach towells a few little pakages of snack items Needless to say we were VERY PLEASANTLY surprised. I can't tell you how nice this tote bag is. Has anyone else rec'vd one of these? All of the past guests, on our cruise, found one in each cabin on the second day (after the room was cleaned). I wonder if this was a one time shot? Wouldn't it be nice if they continued to give us such a nice gift?

bchbum641 Posted October 12, 2007 #24 Share Posted October 12, 2007 Hi Jean, First of all, I am so sorry about Bill. We really enjoyed having dinner with you guys. Remember the togas? I have a picture of our whole table that night. I'll have to send it to you. Bill was always in such a good mood. He was a great guy. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I'm glad you are still enjoying cruising. We did enjoy the cruise out of San Diego but nothing compares to the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean. We just booked the Victory- Eastern Caribbean leaving Miami on Jan. 20, 2008. You should come on that one too. Anyways, I am so glad you posted. Let me know if you would like that picture. Rare Manatee Mom Posted October 12, 2007 #25 Share Posted October 12, 2007 This is our 10th carnival cruise and we have never gotten anything like that on CCL. Disney gives you a great beach towel on your 2nd cruise. Does anyone know what platinum status get you? (10 cruises)
