Advice on Excursions- Celebrity Infinity, So. America, Buenos Aires to Valparaiso

Sailing 12/9/07, Montevideo, Puerto Madryn, Ushuaia, Punta Arenas, and Puerto Montt. Any suggestions on the Shore Excursions, either recommended or avoid? Best port and location for penquin viewing? Any good alternatives to the Cruise organized excursions? Thanks for your comments. Jerry

We did book one tour with the ship to see the penquins at Punta Arenas if I remember correctly and it was a mistake. Taxis were passing us and we only had less that 1/2 an hour with the penguins. I was surprised to see all the independant tours at each port of call at half the prices. Do your research. Also if you like wine it is so cheap in Chile and Argentina. In Buenos Aires we just took taxis.
