Our last visit to Antigua was very disappointing,

St Johns- very dirty and smelling of faeces (open sewers) island dirty, rubbish everywhere

and Lawrence of Antigua very disappointing too - his attitude seemed to be more cruise saps!

We arrive 7am and leave early 4pm-

so all day inclusive resort out,

so can you suggest anywhere we can go with out been constantly harassed for cheap watches or drugs etc- we do like beaches or isolated spots but no more tours please!

Thanks in advance.

:D

Quieter beaches that we enjoyed were Half moon bay, Carlisle bay, Runaway bay and Fort James Beach. All were quiet, lovely and we were not harassed by anyone and we also met a few Antiguans who chatted to us but did not ask to buy anything. It is a beautiful island give it another try.

I agree too, give it another try, we have been 3 times and we high tail it straight to long bay and its so quiet and I have never been bothered there once to buy anything. I am trying Darkwood beach this time around in Nov, but Long Bay is one of my favorite past places.
