Recommendations on Stay Before Cruise

We are going 1/6/08 Pearl. We will fly into FLL (less expensive than Miami). Any suggestions on wether we stay in FLL or Miami the night before the cruise? What hotels are good?

That all depends on you and what your preferences are. If you want to experience Miami then stay on South Beach. If you just want some place nice to stay not far from the airport in Fort Lauderdale there are many nice hotels such as the Marriot on 17th street. If you want to stay on the beach in Lauderdale there are also many nice hotels. Just be aware that if you stay in Lauderdale you will have a longer ride to Port of Miami.

Personally I would just go ahead and take the GO Shuttle from FLL to Miami, spend the night there and have a relaxing morning in Miami before going to the ship. The shuttle from FLL is only $18.00 per person.

Bite the bullet and get all of your traveling out of the way the day before.
