aandstan Posted August 31, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2004 Looking for a bar at night with most of the following features; Ocean or beach front or view. Light menu available, not looking for gourmet. Music but on quiet side - piano, jazz, big band - no hip hop or rock. Dancing nice but not necessary
steveaaaa Posted September 1, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2004 There is a place a few hundred feet from the ship.It is on the same street as Carlos and Charlies (about 200 ft away)which you can see from the ship. This place has an outside band playing and they serve food. This is an open air place on a second floor. The balcony of this place overlooks a harbor area. The music is more 70s style and there is some dancing around the tables and the open spaces.Around 10pm the band leaves and they open an airconditioned disco style dance room and the music turns to more modern rap style. glentally Posted January 16, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 16, 2005 I'm looking for more action. Not Carlos and Charlies. Good music , dancing, any ideas? Glen
pholter Posted January 16, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2005 The place next to Carlos 'n Charlies is great and 1/2 the price on drinks, too! It's called Cafe Bahia.... No cover, they have a big screen TV for games and a 3 piece live band on the balcony for listening or dancing- no hip hop!! :) For a more lively place, we found the Choose my Name Bar about a block off the main street, but many neon lights attracting you to go. They have a huge live Salsa Band and it was GREAT!!! They charge $9 cover, but just walk away or say your on the ship and they will end up waiving the charge.
