Thanks to Splinter and other San Diegans who helped

Hi there. Got back last Monday from our cruise and just wanted to say a quick thanks to all those who helped with information. In the end our Hot Air Ballooning was cancelled due to high winds so we drove up through the coastal mountains? to San Juan Capistrano then took a long and leisurely drive down the Pacific Coast Highway. Paddled in the water in Oceanside and just enjoyed the day. If anyone is passing through Lake Elsinore and needs a place for the night you can't go wrong with the new Best Western on Casino Drive. Very helpful plus clean and tidy and not to busy. Also close to malls etc.

Stayed at the Days Inn on Hotel Circle S. Bit old but rooms were clean, fresh smelling! and tidy and prices were great. We had a hire car so we did over 600 miles in 2.5 days touring the area and having a thoroughly great time.

People down there were extremely friendly and helpful and Hotel Circle was close to everything. Ended up doing the Wild Animal Park on the Friday morning after we arrived and had no regrets. Great attraction. Well laid out, usual type food but a 100 percent better than any zoo we have ever been to.

Loved the shopping,food outlets etc and all in all its a city you can be proud of. Next year we are taking the same cruise but ending in L.A and driving up to San Francisco to spend some days there. Hope they live up to all we experienced in San Diego and the surrounding area

glad you enjoyed SD...the city is great for post and pre cruise vacations. There's so much to do and see in the city and in the surrounding areas that really anyone could find something they enjoy!!
