A quick question:

My question is: I am looking into booking a cabin on the vista deck of the Galaxy, I would like to know your opinion if the cabins that are near the elevator landings are quite. Cruisers have explained to me, that the area near the elevators can be noisy especially at night. I would love to hear from you if you have stay in these areas.

Thanks:D

While we have not sailed Galaxy, we have been near the elevators at all but one of our cruises and never had a noise problem. We like mid-ship and close to the elevators. Makes it easier to get around.

I'm not sure about the Vista deck in particular, but if you're looking at an outside cabin, my experience should translate. I stayed on the Penthouse deck very near the elevators / stairs (1063 I think). We didn't have trouble with elevator noise, but toward the end of the cruise a collection of pre-teens and/or tweens decided to hang out on the stairs late at night. So the people noise may bother you, but not the noise of the elevator itself.

An inside cabin that shares a wall with the elevators may be a different story.
