glenda g Posted August 31, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2004 New to Silver Seas,if you have a dinner in your stateroom, do they bring in a table or do you have to use the small table in the room?
gr8twocruz Posted September 1, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2004 When dining in your room for dinner, they use the cocktail table as a base and put a larger, square table on top of it. They set the table with linen and serve your dinner one course at a time along with wines poured with each course. It is a very civilized way to dine in your suite! meow! Posted September 1, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2004 That will be better than those five star hotels -- I guess the average five star hotel won't do it (course by course dinner with settings) for their basic room guests. We should make sure we try that at least once when we get on the Shadow for a week!
canadagal Posted September 1, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 1, 2004 Oh that does sound so civilized and now I can't wait. We really must try that on the Whisper.
luxlady Posted September 3, 2004 #5 Share Posted September 3, 2004 Yes, Pat, but that means you or 0one of your wonderful traveling companions should upgrade to a Grand or Silver Suite, in order for all of us to be comfortable. Are you volunteering? Hhmmn?

simonv Posted September 3, 2004 #7 Share Posted September 3, 2004 The funniest is always on the first afternoon of the cruise, the hallway by the suites are crowded with carts lined up, ready with plates of caviar. I guess they know everybody orders caviar on the embarkation day with their champaign. Always.
Linda CruiseDiva Posted September 15, 2004 #8 Share Posted September 15, 2004 The funniest is always on the first afternoon of the cruise, the hallway by the suites are crowded with carts lined up, ready with plates of caviar. I guess they know everybody orders caviar on the embarkation day with their champaign. Always. That's been standard on my three Silversea cruises... caviar and blinis with all the accompaniments before dinner the first night. And champagne :)
