MindyLee Posted October 17, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2007 I know there's a sub-forum for these. What are they?
megr1125 Posted October 17, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2007 never been on one, but they are cruises with lots of CC members going as a big group...they have lots of them, and when first announced, they usually have a low deposit....and i would guess pretty good rates depending on the cruise line ... and probably the best part is lots of fellow CCers to cause all sorts of 'havoc' on the ship!!! sounds like lots of fun...i will have to try one someday. CaptData Posted October 18, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 18, 2007 Hi I have been on one and going on another. The deposit is the same or lower depending on who is running it and what they arranged (usually the same as cruiselines). The one thing that is different is that the rooms are cheaper then most. You get extras such as Chops dinner for two or wine package or casino credit. The best way to learn is to go into one of the newer ones and see the cost of a room that you might like, then go to the cruiselines site and look it up on line. Also check what extras you are going to get. They will list them. On one of them we got together before we boarded and had supper the night before. We had talked with others in the Royal Carb Meet and Mingle site. Most were not in our group but we met thme and talked onboard. Another advantage is you are linked for dinner so you can talk on the boards and meet each other before you go. You end up as table mates.
