shore excursions in Cozumel?

It's my first cruise, and I'm trying to figure out the shore excursion thing. My husbands not big into snorkeling, so I was thinking about the ruins. It looks really cool, but since it takes so long, it'd be the only thing we could do. Am I really missing out by not seeing the city? The ATV tour through the jungle looks really fun, too! Is there anyone who's done everything and can tell me what their favorite is??? Is it worth the whole day for the ruins? I'd really appreciate some input from a pro!:rolleyes:

The ruins were okay, probably depends upon your interest. Just take bug spray we were bitten several times. Seeing the town is something I would suggest but don't just stay on the waterfront/tourist areas venture back a few blocks. You can spend a few hours at a beach and still have time to visit downtown.
