What to do after disembarking and before flight home

Our ship returns on a Sunday and our flight isn't until late in the day. What would you suggest we do with ourselves all day? I imagine they'll kick us off the ship early or at least make it very boring for us to stay on the ship. But we'll have our luggage, so it's not like we can go sightseeing. And I doubt we'll want to rent a car for half a day.

Any suggestions? Is there anything to do around the airport? If so, we could checkin and check our luggage so it's out of our hair and then occupy ourselves with something fun.

Some lines offer an excursion for those with late flights...and your luggage , i guess, goes on the bus..(never did it, we usually stay a day or 2 after)

not sure if they have luggage storage at MIA-you can only check it in with the airline about 4 hours ahead....you could maybe rent a car and see the area....

No they won't let you stay on the ship. So you DO need a plan.

As a poster already said, there will be at least a city tour/excursion offered. Depending on the line, there may be some other tours too. You'll leave your luggage on the bus/van while you stop at different points of interest. I'd first check that out.

You didn't say when your flight leaves, but plan on getting to the airport an hour and a half early.

If you don't like the "organized" tour, you could call a car service and have them take you around the area. Again your bags will be safe. Don't know of a "storage" spot for your bags.
