I didn't cruise to Casablanca, but spent 3 nights there a few years ago. How much time will you be there? If you have alot of time then you can do a quick trip to Rabat and drive along the Barbary Coast. If you want to stay in Casablanca, then you must see the Hassan II Mosque. It's the only mosque in Morocco that non-Muslims can go into. It's hhhuuuuggggeee and very very beautiful. If you're looking to relax then you can lounge at the beach. Or you can go into town and wander around the souk (marketplace).
MercedMike Posted October 19, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2007 Hi all, we are looking for some suggestions for excursions, for when we call into Casablanca, Morroco on a crusie next year? we would also like to here what other cruisers thought of Casablanca? Not exactly sure what the ship will offer as excursions. We did a great trip that started and ended in Casablanca and enjoyed it a lot. The mosque, as mentioned above, is amazing and well worth seeing. If there is time to drive to Rabat, the Barbary Coast is beautiful, and Rabat has some wonderful architecture. Check out our trip report and pics at http://www.elite.net/~thehalls/moroccomain.html Have a GREAT cruise!
camNaud Posted October 19, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted October 19, 2007 We only have the one day (12 hour stop in port) in Casablanca, so our options are limited. The Hassan II Mosque sounds very interesting. Thanks for the suggestion. MercedMike - I enjoyed your trip report, it looked like a fantastic trip.
