love2read Posted October 25, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2007 Does anyone know the best way to keep in touch with the US from South America? We purchased a Mobal international phone and it is pretty reasonable from Europe but costly from SA. Any other ideas?
Tenngal Posted October 25, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2007 I found a good prepaid phone card service--just 4.6 cents/min to call the US from Santiago and Buenos Aires! I don't want to do all their advertising, so, just send an e-mail to dmdconnect@comcast.net for more info from the sales rep I used.
Geckospot Posted November 5, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 5, 2007 I had a lot of trouble calling the US from SA. I found that using the international call centers was the easiest instead of trying to use a phone card. Also, if you can get an account with Skype that would be the best.
