transfer in london

Hi

Thats not that easy a route.

You could get the Gatwick express to victoria (rail - 35 mins approx £15.90 one way).

Then have to get a tube (£2 and 30 mins but very difficult with bags) or cab(£15 not sure these days- but far more convienient and about 30 mins) to Liverpool Street

There is then a train from Liverpool Street direct to Harwich which is about £18 one way and takes about 75 minutes.

Tends to show how inconvienient London can be!!

I guess the transfer with RCL would be a better option but I dont know how much they charge. If its under £50 it would e a bargain for convienience.

Good luck

Frankly, it's a nightmare. There's no easy way to get across London without lots of changes. It would take at least 3 hours. You could hire a car but prices in the UK are much higher than in the US and it's not an easy drive (London is in the way!)

You can get a private hire transfer for £200/£300 (google "gatwick harwich transfer").

I'd stick with RCI's transfer - if you get stuck on the M25 the ship should wait for you!

Hi... does anyone have any suggestions on getting from gatwick to harwich for 12 day cruise in june 2008 other than the cruise transfers... ....:D

Done the Harwich trip 4 times, last, sept 07, usuing the train is not too, bad, much better than bus TRANSFER,.& used the tube.(UNDERGROUND)

TRAINLINE .CO.UK , FOR PRICE &TIMES,from 2008 you can book inadvance (deals).such as a family card.or special usually 7 weeks prior.

Train runs from Liverpool street direct to the ship, most times there is a boat train,12 mid to ship & 9.15 am returning, approx 1hr 20 mins BUT there are earlier stopping trains.

Train network is onerailway.com
