which ship, which excursions??

We are planning a Panama Canal trip for our 25th... I am trying to decide between Celebrity or Princess...I have cruised both of these before but have never done the Canal -- we are planning to go in Nov. /Dec. 08 -- any previous cruisers on either to help us make a decision?? thanks

If your ship (whichever you pick) is actually going through the locks, you really don't need an excursion at all! There will be a Navigator on the ship, who will give you more info than you could possibly ever need! You will be seeing the locks and their operation up close and first-hand! So really, there's no need to spend additional money by checking out the locks by ferry, or train, or any other mode of transportation! On the ship, you are doing it! Just be sure to move about the ship--you'll want to see this from different deck levels, from the front and back of the ship, etc... Don't just park yourself on you balcony and expect to get alot out of it! Roam about!
