srt Posted October 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2007 Greetings, all! I just caught something in the Costa advertisement when perusing cruise lines to consider for the end of December: the Costa Fortuna can cook for someone who keeps Kosher? One of us does, and while it's not been a concern on prior cruises (eat as a vegetarian instead), it'd be convenient (or simply amazing, from a balanced dietary standpoint!). Do they actually prepare Kosher food, or is the pre-packaged, "airline food" quality stuff served? If someone has a li'l experience with this or can guide us to a more knowledgeable source, we'd appreciate it. Thank you!
Yarhead Posted April 29, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2012 Does anyone have insight about Kosher on Costa cruises?
CtheW0rld Posted April 29, 2012 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2012 i remember reading about it once. it was the precooked/prepackaged stuff. can't really expect a cruiseship to have a separate kosher kitchen. i would call costa and ask to make sure, though. Yarhead Posted November 4, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 4, 2015 I know it's 3.5 years later, but thanks so much for your reply!!! :)
Ba' Datz Posted December 7, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 7, 2015 (edited) For general information, Costa does not have pre packaged Kosher food on any European cruise. They sometimes have them on cruises that start and end in the Caribbean. You might get them to make you double foil wrapped Kosher fish and vegetables at the MDR. One should check with the cruise line directly before any reservation and get any answer in writing. Edited December 7, 2015 by badatz
