Sunset or Bamboo Beach Club?

Hi,

 

Going next week but can't decide which one will be better, the Bamboo or Sunset Jamaica Grande.

 

4 adults, 2 teenagers age 17.

 

Bamboo is at the port so no taxi needed.

 

Can you just walk to the Bamboo and pay there or do you have to book in advance and go through the ship tour?

 

Any advantage to booking with the ship for the Bamboo?

 

What is the cost for a day pass to the Bamboo?

 

Should we take a taxi instead and go to the Jamaica Grande? How far away is it?

i booked the bamboo beach through carnival and now i am thinking of cancelling because of reviews that are bad. but we paid 45 pp for all food and drink

Hi.. Just came back from a cruise on the Carnival Liberty and we took the Bamboo Beach Club/ Dunn's River Falls tour. We tried to book it before our cruise directly with the beach club but they told us it was the same price to book it on board so we did. Because we took the combo it cost $75 pp but we had the best time and it was well worth the money. All the food and drinks were included and our hostess really took care of us making sure we had plenty to eat and drink. She even brought us drinks into the water! The best part was the entertainment - they had very professional shows all day, including singers, dancers, drummers, etc. - it made the whole experience unique and definitely entertaining. We also really enjoyed the Falls. What another amazing experience. The water was a little cold but our guide was so funny we laughed the whole climb up. On the way back to the Beach Club they served us drinks on the bus and when we arrived to the beach club the hostesses greeted us with more food and drinks! My wife left the Club for half an hour to go shopping, which she could walk to and came back to the club with no problems. She actually ended up doing most of her shopping at the Beach Club itself. Anyway, hope this helps!

What do they sell there at the BBC? Is it just logo stuff? Just curious.
