Friends picking us up at Port Canaveral

I was looking at the Port Canaveral web site trying to figure out how a friend would get past security at the RCCL terminal to pick us up. It tells you how to get in to drop off,

2. When entering the north-side cruise terminal area, have your cruise ticket handy to show. This area is restricted to ticket holders only, and vehicles dropping off passengers must provide proof that there is a ticket-holder in the vehicle.

 

There won't be a passenger getting on with credentials when they come pick us up. How will they get through to pick us up?

I just called the Port Authority for you. They will let your friends in to pick you up but they will not be able to stop and wait. I would arrange a time for you to meet and then they can come in. It works much like baggage claim at an airport.
