FLL Hotel Stay with little one?

I spied a great rate around our June cruise from FLL, but it departs 3 days after we return.

 

Should we spend the money saved in airfare on a 3 night hotel stay in Ft. Lauderdale?

 

We have a 5yo son - would it be a good destination for our family?

 

Any recommendations?

We have a 6 year old that has been to Fort Lauderdale with us, hmmmm, three times now before and after cruising. He loves staying in a hotel, swimming in the pool, eating breakfast at the hotel and hitting the beach!! Hollywood beach is great, very relaxing and quiet.

We enjoying taking an extra day or two.......or three!! ;) To come back to reality after being on a cruise. I would stay, you'll have a great time.
