Cayman Snuba vs snorkle at Stingray City

This is a question specific to the Caymans. I hope someone who has snuba'd and snorkled on Grand Cayman can help.

Stingray Snuba vs. sandbar snorkle?

I have been here with a previous cruise and enjoyed the stingray city sandbar trip very much. Very cool being up close and personal with the rays.

This time I will be going with a different family member than last time and am considering the snuba. I have done snuba (as well as being a certified diver) and know what it's like. My daughter is interested in doing snuba somewhere on the trip. She has dived before also.

My question is not about snuba. It is about the experience of snuba at stingray city vs. the sandbar trip. Is the snuba as interesting as the sandbar trip? Are there as many rays in the area where the snuba takes place as on the sandbar? Do you get to interact with them as much when doing the snuba?

We would probably do the Carnival excursion for either trip. Any advice from people who have done the snuba, or better still both trips, would be highly appreciated.

Love these forums. Thanks to all!
