Driving to Tampa, looking for a reasonable hotel...

We are looking for a hotel in or near Tampa that is reasonably priced, not a 5 star but not a dump either! We have a family group that is cruising and then planning to spend a few days in Florida after the cruise. We were considering leaving our vehicles at the hotel and using the "sail package" but most of the ones I have found that offer this are pretty expensive compared to just getting a regular room and leaving the vehicle at the port. If it was just one night it would be fine, but we would like to find something that we could stay before and after and not break the bank considering we are paying for our kids too. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

btw our usual picks include: Days Inn, Holiday Inn, Clarion, Windgate, etc. Anything comparable to these would be nice.

Try this thread, it has all the info on Tampa you need. You don't need to read all 60 some pages, start about 5-10 from the end. It sounds like the Chase Suites is what you are looking for.
