Play DVD's on TV on Liberty?

Last minute packing... getting ready to head to Miami!

 

Is there a DVD player to watch movies? Actually I would bring some of my DVD's of favorite music artists in concert.

no, there aren't any dvd players, at least on a d1 or below, i'm not sure about the suites.

There are only dvd players in grand suites and above. And you can't bring a portable to plug in either as they have disabled the a/v plugs on the back of the tv.

Hi all... is this true? The editor's note on the LOS review (http://www.cruisecritic.com/reviews/review.cfm?ShipID=389) says:

 

Because the TV's are modern flat-screen (Samsung), kids can (and do) bring their PlayStations and Wii consoles for in-room use.

I wasn't planning to bring a PS3 or Wii, but I was going to bring my video ipod dock. Would that be a waste of luggage space? Thanks! :)

it's true. we brought a dvd player based on the info of some of the reviews and we couldn't use it. all of the inputs are there, but you can't use them. we were thinking that next time we may try to bring a universal remote and program it to the tv and see if that works. the problem is you can't get to the video screen to view anything plugged in to the a/v outlets, the remote doesn't have that option and the buttons to go to the video screen on the side of the tv don't work.

My buddy who is an IT guy tried with no luck! Couldn't even get his AVs to work from his camera so we could look at pictures.
