Flights to Miami Sunday9/5?

Looks like US AIR/Delta/Continential are not scheduling any flights into Miami as of yet for Sunday ---anyone with anything different?

A friend of mine is a reservations agent with Continental. They have canceled their first couple of flights in the morning, but are reserving judgement on the the rest of the day until later tonight.

iroyster...I've heard the same thing with US Air. We were scheduled to come into Ft. Lauderdale at 11:40 AM, but the flight was cancelled. We're praying US Air decides to add some more flights mid-morning and that we can get booked on one of those. We have to figure out something since our ship leaves at 10 PM tomorrow!!!

I would not count on any flights into any South Florida airport until Monday. MIA is now closed according to WFOR-TV, and the National Hurricane Center forecasts that Frances will continue to affect the area until late Sunday night if not into Monday. If you manage to get in tomorrow consider yourself lucky.

Miami Dade airport just told all employees who's shift starts at 11:00 to not report, told next shift 7:00 AM sunday to report unless notified.

Hurricane Frances is now stalled over the Bahamas, and there's no telling when it will hit Florida. I've heard it may be as late as Monday, in which case, the airports could still be closed.
