travelgirl04 Posted November 11, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2007 Just wondering how far in advance we can book the shore excursions we want to do for our upcoming cruise? Also-is the preferred way to book excursions online through the personalizer? Thanks!
Toto2Kansas Posted November 11, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2007 Excursions can become available online up to 120 days prior to your sailing. But normally about 75-90 days is more realistic. For those excursions you want to make sure to book so they don't sell out, the online site at Princess is the preferable method. Remember, you don't pay for these excursions until you get onboard, so you don't have to give your Credit Card when reserving them. Also, you can change your mind up until 5 days prior to sailing when your cruise personlizer closes (except for a few of the Elite tours for exotic destainations). BUT...........almost all can always be cancelled once onboard also if you change your mind, the cancellation times will be printed in the Princess Patter. paul929207 Posted November 11, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 11, 2007 If you book an exotic (ie expensive) tour, check the cancellation policy carefully before booking. It is stated in the tour description online. Many that involve flights (airplane, helicopter, balloon) have a much earlier closing date.
BJS Posted November 11, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 11, 2007 Booking time can vary greatly. We have had some available 6 months in advance and others less than 60 days. We start checking about 180 days out but as posted above 120 days is average availability. Much better to book them through the cruise personalizer rather than mail in a form because this can be done sooner and you can go in and make changes should you decide to make changes.
