vmom Posted November 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 13, 2007 Palm or Coral dining rooms on the CB? Is one more crowded or harder to get a seat at than the other? On our last cruise we just always ate at the Palm and never even considered eating in the Coral. Any preferences by anyone?
roe2ship Posted November 13, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 13, 2007 I prefer the Palm Dining room, the Coral is usually more crowded. I believe the Palm is harder to find and most use the Coral because it is just steps from the atrium area.
SueKayL Posted November 13, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 13, 2007 We are off the CP yesterday.... We wanted a table for two at 5:30 p.m. and had no trouble getting a reservation then every night, even the formal nights ... at 6:00 p.m. the place really filled up...reservations could NOT be made again until 8:30 p.m. so it was 5:30 , 6:00, or 8:30 or do a walk in..I heard complaints about having to wait trying to walk in around 7:00 ish, slow service too, we did not find that at all at 5:30...so reserve a table for 5:30, 6:00 p.m. or 8:30 p.m if you don't want to wait! The Palm seemed COOLER than the Coral which we tried once then went back to the Palm, it is completely aft and it was sailaway time when we ate and it was a bit noisey for a short time when they used the thrusters to shove off......good views out the back windows though.... keener Posted November 13, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 13, 2007 Just off the CB this past October we tried the Palm the first night with poor service. Could have been due in part to a couple of large groups that used this dining room every night. The Palm is a little harder to find and the Coral is nice and central to everything.(shopping wears off the calories) Jun and Godwin were our wait staff and they kept us entertained throughout the cruise. We also had a standing reservation with them every night at 8pm . Enjoy
TwinCruiserMom Posted November 13, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 13, 2007 We liked the Coral. Went to the Palm the first night and the service was just ok and it was a bit shaky back there. You could see the water jittering in the glasses. My son is a little motion sensitive so we tried the Coral the next night. Requested a table by the window at 6pm and it was wonderful. Much less movement, the window helped since my son was able to look out at the horizon, and we had the most fabulous waiters! We requested the same table each night at 6pm and were able to get it. They do not guarantee this, but it did work out for us.
Kerry&LuAnn Posted November 13, 2007 #6 Share Posted November 13, 2007 For us, the Palm always seemed less crowded and easier to get a table without any waiting. That is probably because it isn't located along a direct route, but have to go down/up stairs.
