I've been on five cruises. I just returned from trip on the Valor and I can tell you that it is a CLASS ACT! If you'd like to ask me certain questions email me at julieh_h@yahoo.com. The food was superb, the ship is gorgeous, the shows are wonderful, the staff is incredible. We were a group of 10 ladies and the last night we took a poll to see if anyone had a complaint. None of us could thing of one negative thing! Would love to discuss more with you before your trip. All I can say is I envy you! I would go again in a heartbeat!

I just got off the Valor last week, the only complaint I had was the amount of people that was on the boat. It was soo crowded, I felt like at times I couldn't move and the pool area was so loud and crowded that I moved to the adult section. My next boat will be a smaller one with less people. If you like crowds that's the boat for you. I was on a boat with 1800 people and that was much nicer.

Beside being crowded how was it? How was your room? Are there lots of things to do on the ship?

We were on the Lido deck but got bumped to a cat 11 and now we are on the empress in a suiete:)

I knew it would be crowded but still very excited about going. I cant think of anything else.

That was my only complaint was the amount of people. I felt like I was walking through a New York city sidewalk. I'm realizing to go smaller the next time around, because if you think about it, no matter how big the boat is, the pool area and buffet area can only be so big and 3,000 people are all around those areas. Everything else was great, room, dinner, food, excursions, the boat, the workers were EXCELLENT> I just learned to adjust and I ordered room service, so I can have a quiet breakfast or lunch on my balcony, and I just stayed by the adult pool area where there was a lot less people. I just avoided those areas. We did have in Cozumel the Freedom of the Seas by RC, and it was huge and beautiful to look at. Talked to some people on that boat they said the same thing, too many people all crowding around the same areas. That's all, I'll still keep on cruising, I'll just stick around 70,000 to 90,000 ships.

We just got back from the Valor, Eastern itinerary. It was WONDERFUL. Here's my review

If you have specific questions, you can post in this thread or email me: rzrlens at gmail dot com

I've progressively gone larger each time I've cruised with Carnival. I actually liked the Valor the best, and thought it felt less crowded than the smaller ships. I never thought it was too crowded, and it was a full ship. The only time I really had to wait in line was the omlette buffet, but we just ended up going to the dining room for breakfast (which I highly recommend-- MUCH better food, and you get the same great service you get at night in the dining room!)

I loved the bigger ship-- there is so much more to do, and it just seemed a bit nicer in all areas compared to the Holiday and the Elation. The Valor rocked a bit more than the Elation, but I Think that had more to do with the swells that we were running into on this past trip than anything else.

Let me know if you have any other questions. And congrats on the upgrade to the Cat. 11-- that's impressive and I am sure will add to the experience!!!

I just got off of the Valor on Sunday (Western Itinerary) and it was amazing. It was the first cruise for my girlfriend and I, and it made us believers in cruising. The ship is beautiful and the staff is exceptional.

You'll find all sorts of things to do. We filled our first sea days with events such as Name That Tune, Super Trivia, the art auction (free champagne!), and playing in the casino. And then we realized this was vacation and spent our second sea day lounging by the aft pool and drinking a few daquiris.

You're going to have a blast. If you have specific questions, I'll try to answer them from a first-timers point of view.

Hey, luv2cruise and killdare77, sorry I missed you guys at the meet and greet, totally forgot all about it, was so buzy trying to see everything on the boat. Did you guys have any problems with the rocking of the boat? I got seasick on Thursday. Wasn't the boat pretty? Did you enjoy all your excursions? We did, we did the cave-tubing, went to fins and flippers in Roatan and seven mile beach in Caymans. I loved the food and I ate way too much.

We liked the trip so much that we are going on it a second time this year. We also are sailing on the Dec 9th sailing. We have booked a shore excursion to Caye Caulker including shark/Ray snorkling. We need atleast 1 more person to get a 10% discount. We are paying $69ea now. It is with Coral Breeze Tours. Anybody out there? Its sounds like a lot of fun.
