xtrmegee Posted November 20, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2007 This was one of the highlights of our cruise. The swimming with Turtles was to remember forever. We paid $50 per person for an awesome ride on a Scarab to 4 stops: Snorkel with Turtles, Coral Reef, Ship Wrecks, and Beach Stop. The same excursion on nasty boats through the Ship is $80+. You get all you can drink, chips & salsa, and the equipment is included (mask, snorkel, fins, & life vest). We only had 2 people and when we showed up nobody else booked (we were the only ship in port that day and 99% of the passengers were over 70). Stephen still took the 2 of us out. Most vendors would say there isn't enough people and not do the tour - as did our tour with Serenity Tours in St. Lucia. I highly recommend this tour. Swimming with the turtles is an experience you'll never forget. thriller-ocean-tours@caribsurf.com
LA_FadeAway Posted December 3, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2007 We really enjoyed this tour too, but were sort of disappointed that there weren't many turtles around when we got there. We took an afternoon tour and I think they were all full from the morning boats and had no interest in the food our guide offered them. We saw two way down at the bottom and that was it. I know it's just bad luck, but I would probably try going in the morning next time to really see the turtles! Overall, the tour was very enjoyable and well run.
