Today my mom & I were talking about the cruise are will be booking on Saturday. We looked in to the Carnival Valor. We are planning on the March 2nd sailing. It will be sailing out of Miami and visit grand cayman, roatan island, honduras, belize, and cozumel.

Has anyone had any experience with this ship? How about he ports? Also, we have only sailed out of Jacksonville & Canaveral. How is the Miami port?

Thanks in advance. Hope everyone is having a great thanksgiving!

We are sailing on the Valor on Feb. 17, going to the same places. I was in Belize and Cozumel in July on the Glory. Loved both places, looking forward to going back. I know that going out of Port Canaveral was easy, I think that from what I have read, Miami will be more difficult--more crowded, longer lines. But, with patience we will be fine. Perhaps join us on Feb. 17th.

You will LOVE it! The ports are all so much fun. As for Miami I have nothing to compare it with but embarking and debarking went very smoothly. The Valor is a gorgeous ship, a real class act. Take in the shows, enjoy the incredible food both in the dining room and other options. In a group of ten of us, 6 of us won money in the casino which was quite a surprise! Also one of us won $1000 in bingo! If you would like more detailed information please feel free to email me. I just got off the ship Sunday and I'm very excited to discuss the trip with anyone who will listen! julieh_h@yahoo.com

We've sailed out of Charleston, FLL, MIA, Tampa, Galveston, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Seattle. MIA seems to be the most congested. We fly in so it is always either a cab or shuttle ride to the dock. If you are driving in, I would would check in with the East Coast Departure board on Cruise Critic for better information on parking, etc.

We were on the Valor infor the same itinerary in November 2006 and again in April this year. Cozumel has been substituted for Costa Maya which was wiped out by a hurricane this year.

Obviously, we loved the ship and the itinerary.

If Glen Miller the hypnotist is on the cruise, do not miss his show. Also, check out his late night show if he has one and you are not offended by some adult humor. Here is a link to his web site with a clip of some of his regular show.

Check out the ports of call boards for more info on all of the ports. We have our favorite things to do at each one. But, there is plenty available on this itinerary.

My fiancee and I are cruising out of Miami and getting married on the Valor in December. We did allot of research and as for the embarkation out of Miami, it is a brand new terminal and we have heard nothing but good things. Speak to someone that has cruised out of there with in the last month to get the details.

Canaveral was a very good terminal. We hardly had to wait in any lines. I worry that the drive to Miami will be hard b/c we've only did jacksonville and canaveral and both were a breeze. We were were on the Glory at the end of June and loved it. We stopped in Cozumel and that was one of my favorites besides Costa Maya...I'm sad about how it was damaged.
