Help!! Recent Wireless Internet Prices and Quality??

Hi There,

I'm sailing on the Grand Princess in 2 weeks and now... unfortunately I will have to bring my lapttop and do some work during the week :(

 

What is the cost for wireless internet access on the ship?

How fast/reliable is the internet access?

On the Diamond it is .50 per min for wireless. I found it a litlle quicker than the cafe puters. BUT only as stable as the cafes connection. PRE write anything you can. Use the cafes computers for emails if possible. Sometimes the whole network is slow or down.

.50 per minute on your own laptop for wireless, .75 per minute if you use their computer. Speed was so-so, about the same as fast dialup.

 

 

We would write everything in Word beforehand, log on, cut and paste into our mail screen and send, log off. When retrieving email, I would cut and paste back into Word, log off and read.

 

For the week we spent about $16, but also made use of the $3 per hour internet access at the ports to upload pics to the family.
