Snorkeling in Freeport

Does anyone have any recommendations for snorkeling in Freeport? We will be there Jan 3. Is it too cold to snorkel then? Should we be loooking for other activities?

i have no clue if it's too cold there but if you do decide to go snorkelling i suggest Paradise Cove!

I have been to Paradise Cove twice. Not a big fan. Although the snorkeling is great, the cab fare is way too high, and the people there are rude and discourteous. When Tide is low the reef is impossible to get to. The swim out to the reef is 70-80 yards over sea grass. The staff is the worst, and the beach is not all that clean, considering it is very slow there.

 

The quality of snorkeling is superb however. Gotta give them that. You are nearly alone, that is wonderful! The reef is full of great life. But the rest of it, getting there, getting back, is horrid.
