STT airport question

My sister and I will be on Wind Spirit Jan. 12-19, and are both flying into STT on the afternoon of January 10, she on U.S. Air from Hawaii (last leg Charlotte-STT), I on American from Seattle (last leg MIA-STT). Our scheduled arrival times are only 15 minutes apart, so we want to connect at the airport and taxi together to our hotel.

 

Neither of us has any experience with this airport. Any suggestions where would be a good place for us to meet, once we're there? Baggage claim? After customs/immigration? Where we'll go to catch a cab?

 

Any help will be appreciated! We are so looking forward to this!!

Baggage claim will work since whoever gets there first will still be waiting for their luggage by the time the next gets there. You walk straight to baggage claim from your plane. It is a small area so you should be able to find each other easily. Then you walk outside and get your transportation.

This is a very small airport, if you agree to meet in the baggage pick up area you will have no difficulty meeting up. If you want to have it more precise (I'm always worried when meeting others) then you can agree to proceed to the "hotel phones" area once you have your luggage. I have used the hotel reservation phones at this airport and know for sure there is only one set.

 

Most airports have these complimentary hotel reservation phones and they make a great place to meet up when you don't know the area well.
