Picking Up Passengers @ Port of Miami

We have 6 of us that are renting a large Van from Avis/Downtown Miami for our post cruise stay. I was thinking it may be alot easier for one of us to pick up the van then return to the ship to pick up the rest. Six people lugging luggage to a rental car place doesn't sound too appealing

Was wondering if any of you professionals see any problems with this plan. My one concern would be if the Port Authority would let me back in to pick up the rest. Any opinions or comments would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Your plan makes sense, it should only take you 30-35 minutes to leave the port, pickup your rental and return to the port. You might want to take someone to keep you company though. You'll have no problem returning to the Port of Miami to pick up the rest of your party.
