guerita219 Posted November 29, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2007 We live in El Cajon and are leaving on the spirit in feb. does any body have any ideas on parking or shuttles to the cruise terminal? We were thinking of parking our car at a lot close to the terminal because it would be cheaper than taking a taxi or shuttle but wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions? cruiserbryce Posted November 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2007 unsure what the rates are, but the main parking area for the cruise terminal is right across the street from the pier...I think it is $12 or $14 per day
Splinter Posted November 29, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2007 About the cheapest parking in that area is the Mission Brewery Parking lot (at Washington and the 5). It runs $7 per day. Depending on the length of your cruise, you might do better with a shuttle. We always have friends take us to the terminal in San Diego. They drop us off, and then when we return we call them on our cell and let them know when to pick us up. Our car stays safely at home in the garage. Pretty painless, and of course, much cheaper. Can't you do something like that?

We have no family or friends in San Diego but my mom might be down and I was going to ask her...BUT...she, not knowing downtown at all, would get sooo confused and turned around, even with directions (you know how confusing some of downtown can be, with 1 way streets and all). So that was our main reason for looking for a cheap lot. We might find someone in the meantime though. Just tryin to cover all our bases just in case.So for the meantime, any and all suggestions will be appreciated and considered. Thanx!
