Monrose Island Tours - St. Lucia

We just spent the whole day in St. Lucia with Monrose. It was by far the best day/tour out of the whole vacation. We've taken private taxi tours on other islands and we've watched how other tourists were treated on St. Lucia by other guides (for ex., we've heard numerous times from other guides: "You've got 15 minutes", while Monrose never rushed us at all). Monrose encouraged us to really experience the beauty and culture of his island - we took our time everywhere: in the botanical garden, under the waterfall, at the volcano, in the fishing village, on the beach, tasting local fruits. Our only regret is that we didn't get our butts out of the beds earlier - seven hours wasn't enough for us on this magnificent Island.

Everybody seems to love Monrose and as a result we've got very special treatment from people from special deals to letting us thru gated cargo area right to ship's entrance (we were getting late, which was completely our fault, and there was bad traffic, so Monrose like a magician talked to security and in 2 min we were entering the ship). He has been pampering us so much: treating us with drinks, exotic fruits, local bread, he even bought us all admission tickets. Besides regular sightseeing stops, he took his time showing us how local fruits grow at different stages. But the Jalousie beach was the culmination of the trip. It's located next to Pitons on the premises of very expensive hotel. Almost nobody besides us, warm and crystal clear water, wonderful snorkling and absolutely breathtaking view.

Monrose is the guy! Fantastic tour! Recommend 300%!

Hi everyone

Long overdue review...but I can't help but post now anyway.

If you want to see St. Lucia the way no one else will show you then call Monrose of Monrosetaxi dot com. Or email at info@monrosetaxi.com

He was courteous, informative, charming, knowledgeable and FUNNY as all get out.

He met us right at the pier, had a very comfortable vehicle with A/C and made us feel like royalty. He will customize a full day tour for you with the places YOU want to see in mind. Or he'll create one for you. He stopped when we wanted to stop, avoided the crowded tourist’s places and let us set the pace. If we were having fun, we stayed longer...when we had seen enough of something, off we went!

Be SURE to tell him to take you to see Bernadine for some homemade spiced rum, and tell her the BeadBabe says hello! Another must, is to coax him into taking you in his secret neighborhood and score some local bread.

At the time of our trip (Christmas) his day tour was $50 per person. Lunch for the 4 of us was about $40 INCLUDING drinks. Plus tip of course.

Tell Monrose the BeadBabe says hello and we'll see him again! :D
