Any info about mail delivery?

I sent a letter to a crew member on the Atlantica. Mailed it to the Miami office, apparently they then send it on to the ship in Europe. I just put the name and ship and have since heard that maybe i should have put position andID#. Does anyone know if my letter will still get to him and , if so, any idea how long this will take? Thanks in advance for any info.
