So you're saying there will be Galveston AND Houston terminals?

Yes. So far no cruiseline has definitely committed to sailing out of the new Houston Terminal (at least none that has been announced). Rumor is that RCCL will sail out of the Houston Terminal but Carnival will stay in Galveston. Who knows though will all the ship shifting that has been taking place.

I'll leave from Houston. It'll be closer when driving in from Lafayette (LA). I didn't think the Houston Channel was deep enough for a ship the size of the Voyager. Goes to show you I know less of what I think I know and nothing of what I do know :p

This is really great news!

My sister lives in Sugarland (suburb of Houston) and my mother will be moving to the area next year. Mom's dream has been to "beat her ashes" to the Caribbean and she will have 2 ports from which to get in on a last-minute deal - she won't care which line.

Always nice to learn something here!!
