Sea Princess luggage question for Brits?

Hi - if anyone has returned to the UK from Sea Princess in the Caribbean they may be able to answer this one for me. Do you recall whether your luggage went straight to the ship without you seeing it since check in in the UK - or did you have to pick it up at the airport and put it on the bus?

Many thanks

Hi Suesancy

We arrived back from the Caribbean sailing on Sea Princess 24-11-2007

We flew from East Midlands with Thopmson fly.

When we checked in our hold luggage we never saw it again till the evening when we had boarded the ship and it is placed outside your cabin door.

When leaving the ship we put our luggage outside the cabin the night before and never saw it again till we reached East Midlands.

This was on charter flights all arranged through Princess.

If you are arranging your own flights then you will have to do as you mentioned.

Hi There,

If flying into US then you need to collect bags, one reason Princess has moved the Sea to Barbados is you say bye bye to your bags in UK and they turn up 12 hours later outside your cabin door. Same with check in on the ship for the return home, you get taken straight onto air port runway and into holding area no going through the terminal or ques.

Thanks very much everyone - that's one thing to tick off my list. I know what you mean about wanting to know that your luggage has arrived with you - but it will be nice not to have to struggle with the bags. We too are charter from Manchester with Thomsonfly...

Many thanks,
