RMVET Posted December 8, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2007 I just read about the National Georgraphic and Cellular Abroad "Talk Abroad Cell Phone." Has anyone had experience using this service? We are going on a very long voyage, stopping at various countries and would like to be able to talk to our daughters at home. Any thoughts? www.cellularabroad.com. It sounds good, but I want to see what others who have used it think. Thanks.
Amlee Posted December 8, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 8, 2007 I haven't had any experiance with that phone. Depending on the cruise line, most cell phone companies work aboard the ships. Your trouble would be when the ships are in port (they have to turn off their towers) and while you are ashore. You can check to see if your cell phone will work by going to your providers website. Also check to see if you can activate your phone to work in certain countries.
