Has anyone stayed at the Coast Long Beach Hotel before your cruise? What did you think? What places to eat are nearby?

We stayed at the coast in Oct. Close to the port, clean hotel--not fancy at all--kind of old feeling. The food was good in their restaurant. Not a lot to do within walking distance but there is a bus that travels by there all the time and i think it may be free,

Only negative is that they quoted one price and still charged me another. I have given up trying to get it straight.

Stay at the Queen Mary. Calll the hotel direct and ask for the pre-cruise rate. Cheaper and a very cool way to start your vacation.
